Before You Begin
Before installing Microsoft Office 2024 Home, please make sure that:
You have your 25-character product key ready.
You have a Microsoft account (or can create one during activation).
You have a stable internet connection.
You are signed in with an administrator account on your computer.
We strongly recommend removing any previously installed Microsoft Office versions to avoid installation or activation conflicts.
💡 Important: Your product key can only be redeemed once. After redemption, the license becomes permanently linked to the Microsoft account used during activation.
Step 1 – Remove Previous Versions of Office (Recommended)
Before installing Office 2024 Home, uninstall any existing versions of Microsoft Office from your computer.
This helps prevent installation and activation conflicts.
Windows
Open Control Panel.
Select Programs and Features.
Locate any Microsoft Office installation.
Select Uninstall.
Restart your computer.
Mac
Open Finder.
Go to Applications.
Move all Microsoft Office apps to the Trash.
Empty the Trash.

Step 2 – Redeem Your Product Key
Open the Microsoft activation website:
Sign in with your Microsoft account.
If you don't have one, select Create one.
Enter your 25-character product key.
Click Next.
Complete the redemption process.

Step 3 – Download Microsoft Office 2024 Home

The activation process will begin automatically.
Step 6 – Sign In
When prompted:
Sign in using the same Microsoft account used to redeem your product key.
Wait for Office to verify your license.
⚠️ Using a different Microsoft account will prevent your license from being detected.
Step 7 – Verify Activation
To confirm Office has activated successfully:
Open Word.
Select File.
Select Account.
You should see:
Product Activated
or
Microsoft Office Home 2024

Troubleshooting
Office asks for another product key
This usually means:
You're signed into a different Microsoft account.
The product key has not yet been redeemed.
Another Office license is taking priority.
Sign in using the Microsoft account that originally redeemed the license.
Office shows the wrong version
Windows may still contain an older Office license.
