Before You Begin
Before starting, make sure you have:
✅ Your Microsoft Office 2019 Home & Student product key
✅ A Microsoft account (required for redemption)
✅ A stable internet connection
✅ Administrator access to your computer
Important
Office 2019 Home & Student is permanently linked to the Microsoft account used during redemption.
Be sure to redeem the product using the Microsoft account you intend to keep.
Step 1 – Redeem Your Product Key
Open Microsoft's official Office redemption website:
Sign in with your Microsoft account.
If you don't have one, select Create one!
Enter your product key
Enter your 25-character product key, then select Next.
Example:
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Confirm your region and language
Choose your:
Country/Region
Preferred language
Select Next.
Once redemption is complete, Office 2019 Home & Student will be permanently associated with your Microsoft account.
Step 2 – Download Office
After redemption, Microsoft will display your Office product.
Click:
Install Office
Microsoft will download the official Office installer.
Step 3 – Install Office
Open the downloaded installer.
Depending on your browser, it may appear as:
OfficeSetup.exe
Office Installer
If Windows asks for permission, click:
Yes
Office will now begin downloading and installing automatically.
💡 The installation may take several minutes depending on your internet speed.
Step 4 – Wait for Installation to Finish
Office will automatically install:
Microsoft Word
Microsoft Excel
Microsoft PowerPoint
When installation is complete, you'll see:
"You're all set! Office is installed now."
Click:
Close
Step 5 – Open an Office App
Open:
Word
Excel
or PowerPoint
from the Start menu.
The first launch may take a few moments.
Step 6 – Sign In
When prompted, sign in using the same Microsoft account you used to redeem your Office product key.
This step verifies your license.
Important
If you sign in with a different Microsoft account, Office may not activate.
Step 7 – Accept the License Agreement
Read the Microsoft License Agreement.
Click:
Accept
Office will finish preparing your applications.
Step 8 – Verify Activation
Open Word.
Go to:
File → Account
You should see:
Product Activated
and
Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019
Your installation is now complete.
Troubleshooting
I receive a "Product key has already been redeemed" message
This usually means the product key has already been linked to a Microsoft account.
Sign in at:
using the Microsoft account that was originally used to redeem the key.
If you purchased your license from EM Digital Group and cannot access it, please contact our support team.
Office asks me to activate every time I open it
Make sure you're signed in with the same Microsoft account used during redemption.
To verify:
Open Word.
Select File → Account.
Confirm you're signed into the correct Microsoft account.
I can't find my Office download
Visit:
Sign in with the Microsoft account used during redemption.
Your Office 2019 Home & Student license should appear there.
Click:
Install
to download Office again.
I already have another version of Microsoft Office installed
Having multiple Office versions installed can sometimes cause installation or activation issues.
We recommend uninstalling older Office versions before installing Office 2019.
After uninstalling, restart your computer and run the installer again.

Can I reinstall Office later?
Yes.
Simply visit:
Sign in using the Microsoft account used during redemption and click Install.
Will I need my product key again?
Usually not.
After redemption, your license is permanently linked to your Microsoft account.
Can I move Office to another computer?
Retail licenses for Office Home & Student 2019 can generally be transferred to another PC, provided the license is removed from the previous device and Microsoft's license terms are followed.
Does Office 2019 receive updates?
Yes.
Office 2019 continues to receive Microsoft security and reliability updates, although it does not receive the new features added to Microsoft 365.
