Troubleshooting
The product key doesn't work
This usually means one of the following:
The product key was entered incorrectly.
The key is for a different Windows edition.
The key has already been used on another device.
Your internet connection is unavailable.
Double-check your product key and try again.
Error 0x803FA067
This error commonly occurs when Windows Home doesn't immediately recognize the upgrade.
Use the default Windows Pro upgrade key first:
VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T
Important: This is Microsoft's generic upgrade key. It does not activate Windows. It only upgrades Windows Home to Pro.
After the upgrade completes:
Restart your PC.
Return to Settings → Activation.
Select Change product key.
Enter your purchased Windows Pro product key to activate Windows.
Activation fails after upgrading
If Windows has already been upgraded to Pro but is not activated:
Open Settings → Activation.
Click Change product key.
Enter your purchased Windows Pro product key again.
