Before You Begin
Before starting, make sure you have:
✅ Your Microsoft Visio Professional 2024 product key
✅ A stable internet connection
✅ Administrator access to your Windows PC
✅ At least 4 GB of available storage space
Important
Uninstall any previous version of Microsoft Visio before installing Visio Professional 2024.
Restart your computer after uninstalling any previous version to avoid installation conflicts.
Step 1 – Download the Installer
Download the correct installer for your system:
⬇️ Download Microsoft Visio Professional 2024 (64-bit)
⬇️ Download Microsoft Visio Professional 2024 (32-bit)
Note:
An active internet connection is required because the installer downloads the necessary files directly from Microsoft during installation.
Step 2 – Install Microsoft Visio
Open your Downloads folder.
Double-click the installer you downloaded.
Select Install.
If Windows displays a User Account Control (UAC) prompt, select Yes.
Wait while Microsoft downloads and installs Visio.
Installation is complete when the installer closes automatically.
Step 3 – Open Microsoft Visio 2024
After installation:
Open the Start menu.
Select All Apps.
Find Microsoft Visio 2024.
Alternatively, type Visio into the Windows search box.
(Optional) Right-click the app and choose:
Pin to Start
Pin to taskbar
for easier access.
Step 4 – Enter Your Product Key
Open Microsoft Visio Professional 2024.
Select Account in the lower-left corner.
Under Product Information, click Change Product Key.
Enter the 25-character product key provided with your purchase.
Select Activate Office.
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete activation.
Example:
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Step 5 – Complete Activation
After entering your product key:
Choose I want to activate the software over the Internet (Recommended).
Select Next.
Wait for activation to complete.
Select Close.
Once activated, your copy of Microsoft Visio Professional 2024 is ready to use.
Verify Activation
To confirm Visio has been successfully activated:
Open Microsoft Visio 2024.
Select Account.
Under Product Information, verify that the status displays:
Product Activated
