Before You Begin
Before starting, make sure you have:
✅ Your Microsoft Project Professional 2024 product key
✅ A Microsoft account (required for redemption)
✅ A stable internet connection
✅ Administrator access to your Windows PC
✅ At least 4 GB of available storage space
Important
Microsoft Project Professional 2024 is permanently linked to the Microsoft account used during redemption.
Be sure to redeem the product using the Microsoft account you intend to keep.
Step 1 – Redeem Your Product Key
Open Microsoft's official Project redemption page:
Sign in with your Microsoft account.
If you don't have one, select Create one.
Enter Your Product Key
Enter your 25-character product key, then select Next.
Example:
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
Follow the on-screen instructions to redeem your license.
Once completed, your Microsoft Project Professional 2024 license will be permanently associated with your Microsoft account.
💡 Tip
Use the same Microsoft account whenever you reinstall Project in the future. You normally won't need to enter your product key again.
Step 2 – Download Microsoft Project
After redeeming your product key:
Sign in to your Microsoft account if prompted.
Select Install.
Download the Microsoft Project installer.
Save the installer to your computer.
Step 3 – Install Microsoft Project
Open the downloaded installation file.
If prompted by Windows, select Yes to allow the installation.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Wait while Microsoft Project is installed.
The installation may take several minutes depending on your computer and internet connection.
Step 4 – Launch & Activate Microsoft Project
Open Microsoft Project Professional 2024 from the Start menu.
Sign in using the same Microsoft account that you used to redeem your product key.
Microsoft Project will automatically verify your license and activate the software.
Once activated, Project is ready to use.
Verify Activation
To confirm that Microsoft Project has been activated:
Open Microsoft Project.
Select File → Account.
Verify that it displays:
Product Activated

Can I reinstall Microsoft Project later?
Yes. Simply sign in using the same Microsoft account that you used when redeeming your product key and reinstall Project from your Microsoft account.
Do I need to enter my product key again?
No. After redemption, the license is permanently linked to your Microsoft account.
Can I use this license on multiple computers?
Microsoft Project Professional 2024 licenses are generally intended for one PC unless otherwise stated in your license terms.
I already have another version of Project installed.
We recommend uninstalling any previous version of Microsoft Project before installing Project Professional 2024 to avoid installation or activation conflicts.
