💡 Important: This guide only applies if your product asks for Telephone Activation or displays an Installation ID.
Before You Begin
Make sure you have:
✅ A stable internet connection
✅ Your computer with the activation window open
✅ A Microsoft account to sign in to the activation portal
Step 1 – Open the Microsoft Product Activation Portal
Open the link on the browser:
Click on "Let's get started" then complete the security check (CAPTCHA), then sign in with your Microsoft account.
Note: Signing in does not link your Microsoft account to your product. It is only required to access the activation portal.
Step 2 – Start Product Activation
After signing in:
Click Activate a Microsoft Product.
Select the Microsoft product you want to activate.
Select the Operating System that you are using.
Then select the Office/Windows version.
Step 3 – Find Your Installation ID
Your computer should display an Installation ID.
It looks like several groups of numbers, similar to this:
054321 123456 987654 456789 321654 789123 654987 123789 654321
Leave this window open.
Step 4 – Enter the Installation ID
Return to the Microsoft Product Activation Portal.
Type or paste the Installation ID exactly as shown on your screen, then select Submit.
Step 5 – Get Your Confirmation ID
If everything is correct, Microsoft will generate a Confirmation ID.
It will also appear as several groups of numbers.
Step 6 – Finish Activation
Enter the Confirmation ID into the activation window on your computer.
Click Next or Activate.
🎉 Your Microsoft product should now be activated.
Need Help Finding the Installation ID?
Windows
Go to Start then type "Activation Settings" then look for "Activate by phone"
If you are not seeing it, proceed to next step.
Press Windows + R on your keyboard to open "Run" window.
Type:

Press Enter.
Select your country or region.
Your Installation ID will appear.
Microsoft Office
Open any Office Application (such as Word or Excel).
On the Activation Window, select "I want to Activate the software by Telephone" and it will automatically display your Installation ID.
Important: Do not close the window with Installation ID. Please keep it open while doing the whole process.
Troubleshooting
I can't access the activation portal
Make sure you're opening the official Microsoft website:
My Installation ID isn't accepted
Please check that:
All numbers were entered correctly.
You're using the Installation ID currently shown on your screen.
I don't see an Installation ID
Not all Microsoft products require manual activation.
If you don't see an Installation ID, your product may be trying to activate automatically over the internet instead.
