Before You Begin
Before you start, make sure you have:
✅ Your Windows 11 Enterprise product key
✅ A stable internet connection
✅ Administrator access to your computer
✅ A backup of your important files
✅ A PC that meets the Windows 11 requirements, including TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot
Microsoft’s official Windows 11 download page can be used to create installation media or download the ISO. Microsoft also confirms Windows 11 requires supported hardware such as TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
Step 1 – Check Your Current Windows Edition
Before installing or upgrading, check which Windows edition is currently installed.
Press: Windows + R
Type: winver
Click OK.
You will see your current Windows edition, for example:
Windows 11 Home
Windows 11 Pro
Windows 11 Enterprise
Windows 10 Pro
Step 2 – Download Windows 11
If Windows is not already installed, or if you want to perform a clean installation, download Windows 11 directly from Microsoft:
Microsoft Windows 11 Official Download Page
https://www.microsoft.com/software-download/windows11
On the Microsoft page, you can choose one of these options:
Create Windows 11 Installation Media – recommended if you want to install Windows using a USB drive.
Download Windows 11 Disk Image (ISO) – useful for advanced users or virtual machines.
Step 3 – Create a Windows 11 Installation USB
You need a USB drive with at least 8 GB of storage.
⚠️ Important: All files on the USB drive will be deleted.
Open the Media Creation Tool.
Accept the license terms.
Select your preferred language and edition.
Choose USB flash drive.
Select your USB drive.
Wait while Windows creates the installation USB.
Step 4 – Install Windows 11
Insert the Windows 11 installation USB into the computer.
Restart the computer.
Boot from the USB drive.
You may need to press one of these keys during startup:
F2, F8, F9, F10, F11, F12, ESC, or DEL
The correct key depends on your computer manufacturer.
Step 5 – Start Windows Setup
When Windows Setup opens:
Select your language, time, currency format, and keyboard layout.
Click Next.
Click Install now.
Step 6 – Enter Your Product Key
When asked for a product key, enter your Windows 11 Enterprise product key.
If Windows does not accept the key during installation, click:
I don’t have a product key
Then continue the installation and activate Windows later from Settings.
Step 7 – Select the Correct Edition
If Windows asks you to choose an edition, select:
Windows 11 Enterprise
⚠️ Make sure you select the correct edition. A Windows 11 Enterprise product key will not activate Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro unless the edition is changed to Enterprise.
Step 8 – Accept the License Terms
Read and accept the Microsoft Software License Terms, then click Next.
Step 9 – Choose Installation Type
Select:
Custom: Install Windows only (advanced)
This option is recommended for a clean installation.
⚠️ A clean installation may remove existing files, apps, and settings. Make sure you have backed up your important files before continuing.
Step 10 – Select the Drive
Choose the drive where you want to install Windows.
Usually, this is the main drive listed as:
Drive 0
Click Next.
Windows will now install. The computer may restart several times.
Step 11 – Complete Windows Setup
After installation, follow the on-screen setup steps:
Choose your region.
Choose your keyboard layout.
Connect to the internet.
Create or sign in with your account.
Set your privacy preferences.
Wait while Windows finishes setup.
Step 12 – Activate Windows 11 Enterprise
After Windows is installed:
Click Start.
Open Settings.
Go to System.
Select Activation.
Click Change product key.
Enter your Windows 11 Enterprise product key.
Click Next.
Click Activate.
Microsoft confirms Windows can be activated from Settings > System > Activation, and that a valid product key can be used if no digital license is available.
Step 13 – Verify Activation
To confirm that Windows is activated:
Open Settings.
Go to System.
Select Activation.
You should see:
Windows is activated
You can also check using Command Prompt:
Right-click Start.
Select Terminal (Admin) or Command Prompt (Admin).
Type:
slmgr /xpr
Press Enter.
A message should confirm that Windows is permanently activated.
Upgrading from Windows 11 Pro to Windows 11 Enterprise
If Windows 11 Pro is already installed, you may not need to reinstall Windows.
Open Settings.
Go to System.
Select Activation.
Click Change product key.
Enter your Windows 11 Enterprise product key.
Click Next.
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Restart the computer if required.
Microsoft’s activation guidance includes changing the product key from Activation settings when upgrading or changing edition.
If Activation Does Not Work
Please check the following:
✅ You entered the product key correctly
✅ Windows 11 Enterprise is installed
✅ The computer is connected to the internet
✅ The PC date and time are correct
✅ You are not trying to activate Windows 11 Home or Pro with an Enterprise key
If activation still fails, take a screenshot of the error message and contact our support team.
