Step 1 – Open Windows Security
Click the Windows Start button, type Windows Security in the search bar, and open the application.
Tip: The Start button is the small Windows logo in the bottom-left corner of your screen. On some PCs it may be in the center of the taskbar.
Step 2 – Go to App & Browser Control
In the menu on the left, click App & browser control.
Step 3 – Open Smart App Control Settings
At the top of the page, under Smart App Control, click Smart App Control settings.
Step 4 – Turn Off Smart App Control
Select Off. Restart your computer if prompted.
Step 5 – Install Your File
Run the installation file again. It should now work without being blocked.
Step 6 – Turn Smart App Control Back On
After installation, repeat the steps above and switch Smart App Control back to On to keep your PC protected.
